Custom problems in Sweden

Kava Curious
I have been buying Kava for over a year now and only from inside the eu. The first 9 months or so there were no problems with delivery but everything went smooth. The last 3 or 4 months however, 4 of my parcels were " lost" for weeks before I got them back. It seems like the customs have started to check Kava parcels recently. I did get everything back finally but it took so long time and this is quite a new behaviour from the customs!
I wonder if other people in Sweden or Scandinavia have had this problem too?
All parcels that were lost were shipped with dpd and postnord. I have had some shipments with UPS and there has been no problems at all. It is more expensive but feels safer. Now I can't unfortunately get shippings with UPS at the moment so I will be without Kava :( .
Does anyone have some advice? How do other people in Sweden do? I miss my Kava!!

If the packages were lost but eventualpy delivered without issues, then it isnt an issue with any customs controls, but the carrier's failure. May have just been bad luck

Oh no maybe I didn't express myself clearly. Sorry, english is not my first language. What I mean is that the customs controlled all these packages, put a note in them and then returned them to me so I know for a fact that they had been conttolled by the customs. The first package had been opened and the kava itself controlled. In the other two just the package opened and sealed again. And this happened between Denmark and Sweden border.
But it is strange that they only recently are doing this so that is why I wonder if other customers in Sweden also have had this problem? Because even if I get the Kava in the end it takes many weeks instead of normally 5 dsys.
I also would like to know how other customers would do in this situation. I mean of course I can buy and be prepared to wait over a month and I am tempted because I really miss Kava, but maybe I will be lucky next time and they just let it pass. Someone told me that the reason why it takes so many weeks is because it is a low priority for the customs. I mean it is not illegal and they know that but they are still checking many/ all parcels nowadays.
I just don't know what to do:cry:

Well, thats an even better sign to be honest. They checked and found nothing wrong with it so released it. Random customs controls arent that unusual and I imagine kava looks a bit suspicious on x rays haha

When we import kava into nz it often gwts stopped by nz customs and examined for any kind of contraband (tobacco, etc). Obviously it always gets released but it can still delay things a bit

Yes it is good that I get it but I feel a bit impatient to wait so long. Maybe I am spoiled to normally get the deliveries very fast!

There is a specific number on the dokument placed by the customs in your controlled shipment, contact tullverket and ask for an explanation.
On what reason they chose to inspect your shipment.

Just want to say that my latest order got here without problems! So maybe it was just random controls and i was unlucky three times. But in the end everything worked out and I got three parcels within less than two weeks so I had Kava for a long time. :)
